With this new concert, ALKEMIA Ensemble dives into the musical repertoire of French-Canadian folklore for the first time and proposes a three-part concert, essentially a cappella. This program is a tribute to great folklorists such as Marius Barbeau, specialist of the oral traditions of French Canada, and Father Charles-Émile Gadbois, founder of the famous La Bonne Chanson record series, which brought the genre into French-Canadian homes.
